History of the Company

Strong Foundations – Pioneering Research

Gursharan Chana, inventor of the first and only offset reamer handle for hip surgery, founded Comis Orthopaedics Ltd in order to develop new and improved implants, instrumemts and surgical techniques to reduce complications in modern orthopaedic surgery.

Recruiting a small team of industry specialists, Comis Orthopaedics was able to quickly develop a fully CE marked Hip Resurfacing System. It was this focus and drive that allowed Comis Orthopaedics to become the company that it is today, creating a competitive and comprehensive product portfolio that attracts surgeons and distribution partners alike.
